TYPICAL PROJECTS Following is a list of typical types of projects for which estimates will be required. The projects may include greenfield (new construction) or brownfield (upgrades and modification of existing facilities, some of which may be energized when the work is done). Most projects will include electrical, mechanical, and civil work. High and Medium Voltage AC Projects – High voltage AC transmission and distribution lines, substations and other facilities that will operate up to and above 500 kV. High Voltage DC Projects – High voltage DC (HVDC) Converter Stations, Transmission Lines, Static VAR compensators and other HVDC facilities up to ±500 kV bipolar DC and above. Power Generation Projects – Hydroelectric, thermal, photovoltaic or thermal solar, wind and other types of power production facilities. Industrial Power Systems – Power and utility systems for industrial plants, military bases, campuses, mining and milling operations and other large-scale, energy-intensive operations. Power System Protection and Control Projects – Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, power monitoring and management systems, battery integration, interfaces and other protection and control systems. Municipal Infrastructure Projects – Water and wastewater treatment plants and other systems. Energy Storage Facilities – Battery storage installations for grid support and power system security; construction of small stand-alone and net-zero micro grids for limited geographic
