This year has been a time of growth, reflection, and continued commitment to connecting Sierra Leoneans in technology across the world. As a community, we learned, collaborated, and supported one another through progress and transition. The journey has not been without its challenges, but each step reinforced the importance of unity, shared purpose, and the belief that collective effort can create meaningful change.

We are grateful for the members who remained engaged, the partners who offered support, and every individual and organization that continues to believe in representation, collaboration, and opportunity within our global tech ecosystem. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀.

We are proud to announce that Sierra Leoneans in Technology (SLinT) is now an official partner of Altruistech Luminary Center.

This partnership didn’t happen overnight. It was built through real conversations about what it means to not just talk tech, but 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁, 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁, and 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 across every corner of our communities.

At SLinT, we’ve always believed that transformation doesn’t come from 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿, or 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲. It comes when passionate people align for a purpose bigger than themselves.

What Abdul Kareem JeLa Sesay and the Altruistech team have built is 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗹𝗲𝗱, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻, and 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. We’re not here to lead it. We’re here to join it, strengthen it, and walk alongside it.

Together with Develop Africa, Altruistech, Tpgroupsl, and Link, we are launching our pilot training in LEGO robotics and Python starting today. Not in the future. Now.

From this launchpad, we’ll continue working together to 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹, and 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 where no one is left behind, 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 or 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 or 𝗼𝗹𝗱.

This is what partnership looks like: 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, and 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

To every young person wondering if there’s space for them in tech, there is. And we’re helping build it, one step at a time.
