It is unfortunate but we are no longer accepting credit cards via email, text or over the phone due to the recent uptake in credit card fraud. These criminals are taking advantage of homeowners and suppliers, selling their services for super cheap and then turning around and using fraudulent credit cards to pay for materials which is eventually charged back and reported as fraud. They usually have text mail phone numbers and aren't using valid cell phone #'s. They are getting better at the fraud all the time using fraudulent identification to match credit card information. Homeowners please beware and double check your contractors. Make sure they are reputable and make sure materials are paid for before you pay them any money or require paying for materials direct. Get references and make sure they are licensed with the California State Contractors License Board. We have to stop them.

We are deeply saddened to share the loss of Don Oaks, a cherished member of our community and the owner of Alpha Materials in Jurupa Valley.

Don served with dedication on the Community Development Advisory Committee from March 21, 2019, until November 29, 2023. Known for his immense generosity, he made significant contributions to Jurupa Valley, including providing all the cement for a new bus shelter in 2014 and supporting a local Boy Scout's Eagle Scout project in 2016.

His legacy of selflessness and commitment will be profoundly missed. Don's impact on Jurupa Valley is enduring, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all. Our hearts and prayers are with his family and friends.🕊️

We are deeply saddened to report that co-owner Donald Oaks of Alpha Materials, Inc. has passed away on July 14, 2024. He was a pioneer in the Ready Mix Concrete industry in which he began working at the age of 13 years old until his death at the age of 85. 72 years in the industry. In 1972, he owned one of the largest broker operations in the industry, Concrete Equipment Transportation Corp. He also owned 3 ready mix concrete companies, Astro Ready Mix, Bi-Rite Redi-Mix and Alpha Materials, Inc. He was a hard worker and many know he never stopped. He provided many opportunities for many people, many who still work for him and have worked for him over 30 plus years. It says a lot about a man who was a leading light for so many people. He leaves behind a legacy. A wife of 23 years, 8 children, 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Brian Oaks, his son and co-owner of Alpha Materials, Inc. will continue business as usual in his honor. We want to extend a heartfelt thanks to all who have reached out. He will definitely be missed. We will update once we have service information.
