Every OCC cable is tested before it leaves Roanoke. We are hiring an engineering test technician to join the test lab team behind that.

You would run environmental and mechanical testing on optical cables and assemblies against industry and military standards, troubleshoot failures down to root cause, and report what you find. An associate degree in engineering or one to three years in fiber optics, electro-optics, or instrumentation will set you up well.

$18.45 to $33.12 per hour, Monday through Friday in Roanoke. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required due to government contract work.

Pay ranges from $16.75 to $19.60 per hour, with a 10% shift differential for night and weekend shifts. Available schedules include Day (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM), Night (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM), and Weekend (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM).
