A new machine is a big investment. A little extra peace of mind goes a long way.

Hurco's Bumper-to-Bumper promotion is coming to an end on October 31, and if you've been considering adding a Hurco to your shop, now is a good time to have that conversation.

Because what happens after a machine is installed matters just as much as what it can do on day one.

Hurco's Bumper-to-Bumper program provides comprehensive coverage on qualifying machines, helping take some of the uncertainty out of owning new equipment.

The promotion ends October 31.

If a Hurco is on your radar, reach out to the Excel Machine Technologies team. We'll help you explore your options, understand the coverage, and determine what makes sense for your operation.

There's always room for one more Hurco.

Especially when you've already got a lineup of them on your shop floor!

This customer is no stranger to Hurco, and their latest addition is a VMX30UDi 5-axis.

When a shop continues investing in the same brand, it says something about their experience with the equipment. And adding more 5-axis capability gives them even more flexibility to tackle complex parts and keep more operations on one machine.

We appreciate the continued trust in Hurco and the Excel Machine Technologies team. We are excited to hear how this improves future work!

Do you need another machine, or do you need a machine that can do more? Those aren’t always the same investment.

If the work is there and you simply need more throughput, adding another machine with similar capabilities might make perfect sense. But if parts are bouncing between multiple machines, requiring several operations, or tying up equipment that could be doing other work, the better move might be adding capability instead of duplicate capacity.

More axes. Live tooling. Sub-spindles. Automation. A different machine platform altogether.

There isn’t one right answer. It comes down to your parts, your process, and where you’re actually losing production time.

That’s why when a customer tells us they need another machine, one of the first things we want to understand is WHY.

Sometimes you need another spindle. Sometimes you need a spindle that can do more.

COMING IN HOT 🔥

This Hurco VMX42Di didn’t come to sit around looking pretty. It’s delivered, installed, and about to start making chips.

With dual-screen control, a 42" X-axis travel, and the versatility Hurco’s VMX line is known for, this customer just added some serious capability to their operation.

Our part is getting it there, getting it set up, and being there when they need us. Their part is deciding what to make first. And we can't wait to see this machine earn its keep.

How long does a 30-minute setup actually take?

Thirty minutes, obviously. But that’s only part of the story. Every additional setup means another time the part has to be handled, located, indicated, potentially re-fixtured, and verified before production continues. It also creates another opportunity for something to move or vary.

That’s why when we look at a machining process, we’re not only interested in cycle time. Sometimes the better question is: How many times do we have to touch this part before it’s finished?

Getting that number down can be just as valuable as getting the cycle time down.

No lesson today. No specs.

Just a machine making parts and a healthy pile of chips to show for it.

Sometimes that's enough for a Friday.

We've found that faster machining doesn’t always mean higher RPMs.

If you want to get more parts out the door, sometimes the biggest gains happen while the spindle isn’t turning.

Shaving a few seconds off a cycle can add up. But things like reducing setups, combining operations, improving workholding, adding a bar feeder or automation, cutting down the time between one finished part and the next? Those are the things that can change the math considerably.

When you’re looking for more production, don’t just ask “How can we cut this faster?” Ask “Where are we losing time?”

The answer might have very little to do with spindle speed.
