This Friday is the 2nd Annual MTR Bob Hinton Memorial Golf Classic! ⛳

The outing honors the memory of Bob Hinton, a longtime MTR employee whose more than 40 years of dedication left a lasting impact on our organization.

Proceeds from this year’s event will once again benefit the American Heart Association and heart health initiatives right here in our community.

Congratulations to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on the delivery of a new $20-million state-of-the-art shaft lathe! This is the fourth of eight planned for procurement under the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program to increase maintenance capacity and capability at the four U.S. naval shipyards in order to meet the Navy's nuclear-powered fleet maintenance requirements. SIOP has completed over 50 facilities projects, totaling over $1.8 billion, including utilities, flood protection, and training facilities. More than 300 items of industrial plant equipment, valued at nearly $750 million, have been delivered, including new cranes, faster and more precise shaft lathes, 5-axis routers, and precision cutting machines. ,
