Please be advised that the RSES Rochester meeting for TODAY - Tuesday, December 17th, has been cancelled. Please see important notice from John Farnham, the Rochester chapter's President, below:
Due to declining attendance at meetings, and at last year’s Christmas party, there will be no Christmas Party this year. The monies that would go toward the party are going to be allocated to the increasing costs of classes. Furthermore, monthly chapter meetings will no longer be held at the 40 & 8 Club, for the same reasons. Likewise, the cost of renting the 40 & 8 will also be put back into our education program, which is our only money generating program, and is far more important to the continuation of our chapter and to the greater good of our HVACR community locally.
If any of these changes are not to the liking of any dues paying member, I invite any such member to become more involved in the chapter as either an officer, chair, or instructor. It is not viable for the chapter to continue without greater involvement from more than the same 6 or 7 people that have dedicated their time and energy for the last several years.
In closing, and for the record, I have a great affection for this chapter and watching interest in it wither and die over the last several years after knowing all the good it has done since 1946 truly saddens me.
