Ever wonder what's going in the floor before the concrete is poured?
This is PEX tubing being laid out for in-floor radiant heat on a new build right here in Rockford. That flexible plastic tubing carries warm water through the floor, turning the whole slab into a giant, even heat source.
PEX has pretty much replaced copper and galvanized steel in modern plumbing for good reason. It bends around corners without extra fittings, it won't corrode over time, and if water ever freezes in the line, it can expand instead of burst. Fewer fittings also means fewer potential leak points, which is a win for the homeowner down the road.
This is the kind of work that gets buried and forgotten, but it's what separates a comfortable, well-built home from one you're troubleshooting in January.
Kellermeier Plumbing, Heating & Cooling handles new construction plumbing and HVAC right here in West Michigan. One call, one crew, no coordination headaches.
