🚚We just shipped a huge project: a rebuilt 108" HC Series Electromagnetic Chuck.

The customer sent us their long-serving electromagnetic workholding system. A one-of-a-kind, custom setup consisting of an 84-inch HC Series Chuck paired with custom wings that expand the capacity to 108 inches.

What You Can’t See from the Outside:
⚡New Copper Coils: Old coils were stripped and replaced with brand new copper winding for maximum conductivity and holding force.

🛡️Waterproofing: We treated the coil cavities to fully seal them against coolant pe*******on.

🔩Hardware & Seals: Reassembled with all new socket head cap screws and industrial-grade sealants.

✅OEM QC: The final step? A rigorous inspection and testing process to meet original factory specifications.

The Power: To match the internal upgrades, we paired it with a brand new 10,000-watt controller.

Need to install a collector ring to your rotary chuck? Read below for step-by-step instructions...

1. Clean bore (L), apply light film of rust preventative.

2. Align collector ring assembly (part number 197291 or 203990) so wire slot (E) is above leads (K). Screw terminals on collector ring assembly must be facing up.

3. Press collector ring assembly into bore. It may be necessary to use a hammer and a block of wood to force collector ring down tight against the bottom ring part number MC-795-2084.

4. Connect leads (K) to screw terminals and check for continuity across the two brass rings of the collector ring assembly. Also check from each brass ring to ground. The resistance should be at least 0.5 meg-ohms to ground.

5. Cover screw terminals with sealing wax or RTV sealant or adhesive.

6. Insert brush holder (part number 198847 or 198308) into the collector ring and line up the brushes to the brass ring. If alignment is made, bolt the holder to the spacer block.

7. If the alignment is not made, the spacer block may have to be shimmed or re-machined to line up the brushes in the holder to the rings in the collector ring.
