🧱✨ Modern Craftsmanship Meets Structural Engineering

During the build of this modern brick masonry barrel arch, a concealed structural reinforcement system was installed to ensure long‑term stability and safety.

Unlike a true masonry barrel arch — which relies solely on compression, with each brick wedged tightly to support the load — this design required a custom fabricated steel support system. The steel frame and dowels were integrated during construction to distribute the weight evenly and reinforce the arch where masonry alone couldn’t safely carry the load.

This project beautifully combines traditional brick artistry with modern structural innovation, showcasing the precision and skill that go into creating architectural features built to last.
