MCE Half-day Virtual Workshop: Excavation and Trench Safety

A FREE online PDH opportunity hosted by Matt Childs Engineering 🚧

Trenching and excavation work presents serious hazards to all workers involved.

Cave-ins pose the greatest risk and are more likely than some other excavation-related incidents that result in worker fatalities.

This course will address key steps towards preventing or greatly reducing the risk of cave-ins and other excavation risks associated with excavation work-related events.

We will walk through the different techniques for classifying and testing soils, discuss excavation requirements, and identify protective measures recognized by OSHA. We wrap up the training discussing the additional hazards present during excavation and mitigative practices to reduce their risks.
