🎓 Congratulations to the first-ever graduating class of Barnhill Contracting Company's Emerging Leaders Foreman (ELF) Program!

Over the past two years, these individuals have invested in their growth as leaders—strengthening the skills, relationships, and experiences that help move our company and their careers forward. To celebrate their accomplishment, graduates, mentors, and company leaders gathered for a day of reflection, graduation, and some a friendly s***t shooting competition.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was welcoming a representative from where the class completed a community service project during the program. Graduates presented the ranch with a beautiful new sign for its horse facility, handcrafted by members of the class, as a lasting reminder of the partnership and impact they made together.

As the first class to complete the program, these leaders will always be known as the pioneers of ELF. Congratulations on this well-earned achievement!

✂️ A new chapter has begun in Greene County.

We were honored to join Greene County Schools NC, students, educators, and community members in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new Greene Central High School! Greene Central, which originally opened in the 1960s, has served generations of students and remains a cornerstone of the community. We are excited for students to continue that legacy in a new, modern learning environment built on the same campus.

We are proud to have partnered with Moseley Inc. to bring their vision to life, creating a modern facility with updated technology, expanded learning environments, collaborative gathering spaces, and specialized classrooms that support a wide range of academic and career pathways. Barnhill is proud to be for this new school that will provide students with opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed for generations to come.

Summer days are a little sweeter when shared with great coworkers. 🍦

Last week, the Scoops Ice Cream Truck stopped by our Rocky Mount Corporate Office, giving employees a chance to take a break, enjoy a treat, and spend time together. A little rain tried to crash the party, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Thanks, Scoops, for helping us beat the heat!

Great things are happening at the Highline at The Creamery project in Downtown Raleigh!

Our team and trade partners recently came together for a successful safety stand-down, reinforcing our shared commitment to keeping everyone safe.

These gatherings are an opportunity for us to dive into topics that are timely, relevant, and specific to the work happening on the project. It’s a chance to reset, reconnect, and make sure safety stays at the center of everything we do.

To show our appreciation, our trade partners enjoyed lunch and a raffle with some fun prizes. It’s a small way to say thank you for the hard work and dedication they bring every day.

We’re looking forward to the next stand-down and continuing to strengthen our safety culture on site.
