My favorite landscape photographer and Ozark legend, Tim Ernst.

THIS is the answer to the question folks often ask me - "What is your favorite waterfall?" - It's Pam's Grotto, Ozark National Forest, Arkansas. Named after my lovely bride and life mate, a photo of this falls (not mine) once appeared in National Geographic magazine as the two-page lead spread of a 16-page story about the Ozark Highlands Trail (and the National Trails System). Pam helped build the trail that leads up to the falls as part of a volunteer group more than 20 years ago (And the National Geographic photographer, Peter Essick, had Pam pose with the waterfall for the story one of the many times he took photos there.)
