๐Ÿ—๏ธ Plan the access before the project reaches the field.

High-rise construction in NYC requires more than selecting a hoist.

Hoist location, floor access, sidewalk protection and site logistics all have to work together.

At Dynamic Hoisting & Scaffolding (DHS), 3D planning helps us visualize those conditions before mobilization โ€” so potential access conflicts can be identified earlier and the right solution can move toward estimating and ex*****on.

This model shows a dual-hoist access strategy integrated with the building and street-level protection system.

Complex Manhattan access is rarely a one-system problem.

At 720 West End Avenue, four temporary access systems had to operate within the same active frontage: hoisting, runbacks, full-height pipe scaffolding and sidewalk protection.

The challenge isn't simply installing each system. It's coordinating the interfaces between them.

Hoist location affects landings. Landings affect runbacks. Scaffold geometry affects access. Sidewalk protection affects the usable ground-level footprint.

On constrained NYC projects, those decisions are better coordinated early โ€” before they become field problems.

This Engineering Case File 008 shows how multiple access systems came together within one Upper West Side project.

Weโ€™ll review the access requirements and discuss the next step toward an estimate.

At this scale, access isnโ€™t the challenge. Coordination is.

Multiple towers. Multiple trades. Multiple access fronts. One coordinated operation.

At Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City, DHS integrated vertical transportation, scaffold access, faรงade containment, structural support, and site protection into one temporary works strategy.

Because on complex projects, hoisting and scaffolding shouldnโ€™t be treated as isolated equipment.

They should be planned as part of the construction strategy.

ENGINEERED BEFORE IT MOVES.

Successful vertical access doesn't begin when the hoist starts moving. It begins with the engineering behind it.

On this Naples, Florida project, the construction hoist had to become part of a larger strategy connecting the structure, site logistics, construction sequence, and the movement of people and materials.

That's where early access planning matters.

Planning a project where hoisting, access, or site logistics could affect your schedule? Bring DHS in early.

Our team can help identify the right access strategy before field constraints become costly problems.

WHEN ONE SYSTEM ISN'T ENOUGH.

Some projects demand far more than a single temporary access solution.

At 76 Eleventh Avenue in Chelsea, New York City, the building's geometry and construction constraints required multiple engineered access systems working as one coordinated strategy.

Because on complex projects, success isn't defined by the equipment itselfโ€”it's defined by engineering, planning, sequencing, and ex*****on.

Every complex project deserves an access strategy engineered before construction begins.

In Manhattan, every square foot matters.

And when operations take place hundreds of feet above street level, logistics becomes more than support work โ€” it becomes the system that keeps the entire project moving.

At 989 6th Ave, DHS coordinated:

โ€” Strategic Needle Beam installations at extreme elevations
โ€” High-capacity ACT-8 system integration
โ€” Precision access coordination inside reduced concrete openings
โ€” Vertical logistics engineered to maintain project velocity

And precision changes everything.

Most facade access systems fail.
Not because of height โ€” but because of poor planning.

At this level, access is not just installation.
Itโ€™s coordination, sequencing, and zero-margin ex*****on.

Every decision impacts:
โ€ข Safety
โ€ข Productivity
โ€ข Operational continuity

This is where conventional systems break down.

At Dynamic Hoisting & Scaffolding,
we engineer access systems built for real-world conditions.

Because in NYC โ€”
ex*****on is everything.

Excellent partnership with Vertcon Builders at our 989 6th Ave project.
