Yesterday, Joey and Mike spent the day at the North Douglas School District career fair talking with students about careers in robotics, automation, and manufacturing.

Our setup gave students a chance to try out a VR headset, ask questions, and get a closer look at the kind of technology shaping the future of industry.

Thanks to North Douglas for having us! And to all the students who stopped by to connect with the team. 🙏

Built for consistency. Designed for real-world mill operation.

In this shop test, our Robotic Lumber QC System handles 13’ boards from pickup through final output.
Each layer is placed, singulated, scanned, weighed, strength-tested, and laser-marked with a unique ID and QR code.

You’ll see the full flow:
🔸 Layer pickup and infeed
🔸 Board-by-board singulation and scanning
🔸 Moisture and weight measurement
🔸 Strength grading
🔸 Laser marking for full traceability

The same system also supports kiln stick handling with a semi-automated stacking process, giving operators flexibility where it counts.

It’s a practical look at how robotics can bring consistency, visibility, and control to lumber grading.

Joey spent the week in Atlanta covering ground at MODEX and PELICE - connecting with customers, partners, and plenty of familiar faces along the way.

Automation continues to be a major focus across industries, and it’s always good to be part of those conversations in person.

A lot can happen in 4 weeks.

This project started with a customer challenge and moved through site visits, scanning, modeling, simulation, and decision support—all before the final proposal.

Here’s a look at how we 'Engage' with our customers early on to ensure project momentum and success.

From remote facilities in the Midwest to show floors in Atlanta and Florida, the work doesn’t stop at a desk.

Over the past few weeks, our team has been on the road visiting customers where they operate, walking plants, having real conversations, and staying plugged into where automation is headed. Cold temps, long drives, busy schedules… all worth it.

Showing up matters. Seeing operations firsthand matters. Building strong partnerships—no matter the location—matters most.

Have you seen the latest issue of Umpqua Community College’s Hawk Highlights? They’ve got a great feature on Mechatronics on page 4* that includes several of our employees!

From our Automation Developer, Camren, and Zach (our Technical Director)—who both contribute their insights to this article—to our Robotics Technician, Conner, and our Shop Intern, Isaac (who both participate in the Mechatronics program at the college), we’re proud to support UCC and their flourishing Mechatronics program.

Together with UCC, we hope to support the next generation of engineers and technicians for the robotics and automation industry.

Hope everyone had a great holiday season and a strong start to 2026.
We kicked off the new year by getting the team together for our annual Kick-Off meeting, including lunch, a little celebrating, and some cool new vests.

Grateful for this crew and excited for what we’ll build together this year.

We’re sharing the extended walkthrough of the Robotic Door Feeder & Stacker at Oregon Door, showing how doors move through multiple passes, orientations, and sequences with consistency and control. Designed to handle doors from 12” to 48” wide, up to 120” long, and weighing as much as 550 lbs, the system automatically scans barcodes, pulls specs from Oregon Door’s database, and adjusts door-by-door to keep production flowing smoothly, reduce manual handling, and improve plant safety.

Beyond the initial install, this is a system that continues to be supported and refined. From routine service to targeted upgrades like recent in-feed improvements, our field service and robotics teams work alongside Oregon Door to maintain performance, improve OEE, and support evolving production needs.

Watch the full process to see how smart automation, thoughtful design, and long-term partnership come together on the floor.
