Bayou State Starbase STARBASE is a 4-5 day program that engages students through the inquiry-based curriculum

The STARBASE program engages students through the inquiry-based curriculum with its "hands-on, mind-on" experiential activities. They study Newton's Laws and Bernoulli's principle; explore nanotechnology, navigation and mapping. They are captivated by engineering as they use the computer to design space stations, all-terrain vehicles, and submersibles. Math is embedded throughout the curriculum, a

nd students use metric measurement, estimation, calculation geometry, and data analysis to solve questions. Teamwork is stressed as they work together to explore, explain, elaborate and evaluate concepts. WE HAVE ADDED ANOTHER SESSION OF ADVANCED SUMMER ROBOTICS CAMP!!

Bayou State STARBASE will be hosting a FREE Advanced Summer Robotics Camp that will be open to all, grades 5th through 8th for the upcoming school year. Robotics camp is designed to be a fun way to introduce participants to mechanical engineering and computer programming.

Participants will design and build robots using LEGO Spike Prime Robotics kits. They will learn to incorporate motors, lights, and sensors to build, design, and code robots to navigate multiple advanced level challenges. We look forward to seeing you!

Advanced Summer Robotics Camp will be held from Monday, July 6th through Thursday, July 9th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at the STARBASE Academy (located inside of the North Iberville STEM Academy) Room 101

-Parents will need to provide lunch, snacks, and transportation.
-First 20 spots will be filled, so hurry!!
-Drop off and Sign-In will begin at 8:45 a.m.
