Yet another Friday Fail falls victim to the mighty corn cob light.

This isn’t the worst application we’ve seen… but there are definitely better options. While corn cob lamps can technically be used here, you lose nearly 30% of the light from bounce-back inside the reflector, making the setup far less efficient than a purpose-built solution.

Just because it fits the socket doesn’t mean it fits the application.

Nothing says “lighting upgrade” like installing linear fixtures directly over the old canopy lights… complete with pull cords anyone can reach. Now every customer gets the power to decide if the lights stay on or off. How thoughtful.

What a couple of days at EMS! 🌮⚡

The event was packed with great customers, nonstop tacos, and plenty of competition around the co****le giveaway. We had an awesome time connecting with everyone, talking shop, and meeting some incredible people along the way.

The Open House at Apex was a huge success, bringing together an incredible crowd for a high-energy day of networking, entertainment, and industry connection. With appearances from the San Francisco 49ers cheerleaders, a live DJ and rap performance, and a strong lineup of vendor partners, the event delivered an unforgettable experience. The turnout exceeded expectations, and the atmosphere reflected what we’re all about—building relationships, showcasing innovation, and having a great time doing it.

Not all lights are made for every application. The right fixture matters for performance, safety, appearance, and efficiency. Using the wrong product can lead to glare, poor light distribution, exposed hardware, and a rough overall finish.

Quick Breakdown: Flood Lights vs. Canopy Lights
