LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY IN HVAC / REFRIGERATION IN TEXAS
I am a professional refrigeration and air conditioning technician with more than 25 years of international experience in this industry. My entire professional life has been dedicated to diagnosing, repairing, and installing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
I have university training in Thermal Mechanics, the EPA 608 Universal certification, and extensive experience working with different types of equipment and refrigerants used in the HVAC and commercial refrigeration industry.
I currently live in Austin / Round Rock, Texas, and since January of this year I have been actively looking for a job opportunity in this city.
During these months I have sent applications to many companies, tried to communicate with different businesses, and have been willing to demonstrate my knowledge and technical experience. However, I have encountered a situation that honestly surprises me.
Many companies do not seem interested in my more than two decades of experience, technical knowledge, or certifications, simply because I am still in the process of learning English.
I want to be completely transparent:
I am learning English and improving every day, but in the meantime I have something that cannot be learned in just a few years: 25 years of real experience working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
I have experience working with a wide variety of refrigerants used in the industry, including:
R22, R134a, R404A, R410A, R407C, R407A, R407F, R448A, R449A, R452A, R454B, R290, R600a, R1234yf, R1234ze, among others.
I also have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing:
• Commercial refrigeration
• Walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers
• Ice machines
• Residential and commercial air conditioning systems
• Electrical and mechanical diagnostics
• Compressor replacement
• Expansion valves (TXV)
• Electronic and digital controls
• Systems using flammable refrigerants such as R290 and R600a
Additionally, I also worked approximately 4 to 6 months with supermarket refrigeration systems (Rack Systems), participating in diagnostics and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems used in supermarkets.
My work is not only theory. It is real experience from many years solving problems in equipment that other technicians could not repair.
That is why sometimes I ask myself something very sincerely:
Is it possible that in a city as large as Austin, Texas, with so many HVAC and commercial refrigeration companies, no company is willing to give an opportunity to a technician with more than 25 years of experience just because his English is not yet perfect?
I am not asking for a favor.
I am offering honest work, responsibility, technical knowledge, and a lifetime dedicated to this profession.
I am ready to work, continue learning, and keep growing in this industry here in the United States.
I only need one opportunity to demonstrate what I can do in the field.
If any company, contractor, or business in Texas needs a technician with real experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC, I am available to start working.
