Meet the woman behind a little bit of everything.

Tristan officially hits three years with King Construction this July. As HR Coordinator, she wears a lot of hats around here and somehow keeps all of them moving at the same time. From supporting the team internally to helping keep day-to-day operations on track, she has become Katie’s right hand in more ways than one.

Outside the office, you can usually find her with her husband and two kids, enjoying a little retail therapy, or spending time with friends and family.

It’s time to meet one of our project managers, Jordan Schwing!

Originally from Corpus Christi, Jordan came to King Construction after studying Construction Science and Project Management at Texas A&M. What started as an internship has turned into almost nine years with the team.

Today, he serves as a Senior Project Manager, helping guide projects from pre-construction through closeout with steady leadership and coordination that keeps work moving forward.

Outside of work, he and his wife are preparing to welcome their first child this fall, a baby girl! A big season ahead for their family, and one the whole King Construction family is excited to celebrate alongside them!

Every location has its own story. Bastrop's runs deep. Salvaged lumber from the 2011 wildfire, locally milled pine and cypress worked into the walls, tables, and benches of the finished space. It is the kind of detail that makes a building mean something and it is exactly the kind of work we show up for.

The King family recently attended a gala benefiting Wayside Schools, where John was recognized for the impact of his work and the relationships built over decades.

John has been part of Wayside Schools since the very beginning — from building the first campus to the multiple schools it has grown into today. He has attended every gala since its inception, supporting the mission and the people behind it year after year.

A long-standing commitment to something bigger than the work. We are grateful for the legacy he leaves everyday!
