Metal Forming Industries (MFI) added an additional 1,000 sq ft of production space to our plant in Russellville, Indiana! The primary structure was completed in December 2025, and now we are building out the interior in preparation for moving machines in soon. This is Phase 1 of the building expansions planned for this year. An increase in both customers and the number of parts we are producing, is necessitating these additions, which also gives us more room to reorganize machines and processes for better production efficiency.

Metal Forming Industries specializes in Cold Heading and Deep Impact Extrusion, both of which produce parts very efficiently, using a lot less raw materials than traditional machining, and requiring minimal additional machining and processes. All of this, Saves Companies Money, and now, with copper prices skyrocketing, Cold Forming can have an even more significant impact on their bottom line. Cold Forming is used for a diverse range of industries and applications.

Using less raw materials not only translates into a major cost savings, but it is more environmentally friendly, and reduces waste. MFI also provides secondary services like CNC Machining, Brazing, Plating, Thread Rolling, etc. to provide the finished parts or components our customers need.

Copper tariffs have sparked a raw material price increase in both imported and domestically supplied copper (see links below). Domestic mills have increased their fabrication charges to match the copper tariffs. The cost of machining scrap (chips) is also increasing. Metal Forming Industries (MFI) can reduce your copper material usage and costs by using less of it through Cold Forming processes. Many parts, probably including yours, that are currently being traditionally machined, can be produced by Cold Forming.
