Metal Forming Industries (MFI) is excited to share the news about our newly acquired 3D Printer for doing Rapid Prototyping of parts to be produced! Going directly from SolidWorks or CAD files, we can now quickly produce accurate prototypes for us and the customer to use for validating the part. The customer can determine if the part is exactly what they want, if it fits properly in their component, and more, by seeing an actual 3D model. And internally at MFI, we can better identify any possible production issues or challenges. We can do all of this very quickly before taking the big step of moving to final production. Once the part and the production process has been validated, the same SolidWorks or CAD files used to make the prototype can then be used on our CNC Machines. Our new 3D printer will also be used to produce QC fixtures, replacement parts for our machines, and more. Let us know if you want to learn more about this new in-house capability!

Corporate Bankruptcies in the U.S. have risen significantly. Gross Profit Margin Compression occurs when the cost of your materials, especially raw materials, are increasing faster than you can keep up with them. Metal Forming Industries (MFI) added an additional 1,000 sq ft of production space to our plant in Russellville, Indiana! The primary structure was completed in December 2025, and now we are building out the interior in preparation for moving machines in soon. This is Phase 1 of the building expansions planned for this year. An increase in both customers and the number of parts we are producing, is necessitating these additions, which also gives us more room to reorganize machines and processes for better production efficiency.
