Thankful for our hardworking team leading the way again! Today we placed a couple hundred yards of heavy weight concrete. This is the first time this concrete has ever been poured. It’s weighs 75% more than regular concrete. (7,000 lbs a yard) and cost 2,000 dollars a yard. It’s being placed in the radiation rooms at the new cancer center in Roanoke, Va. Thank you to Freddy with Robins and Mortan and Boxley for six months of dedicated concrete testing and for making today’s pour a success.

Recently we did a superflat at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. This floor’s purpose is to house a freezer to study the climate in Antarctica. What a neat project to be a part of!
