This past Fourth of July, Beverly Guffey Smith found herself without air conditioning and temps around 90 degrees. Thankfully, one of our on-call technicians was able to respond and get her system back up and running.

We're grateful to our dedicated service technicians who volunteer to be on call during holidays so we can be there when our customers need us. At the same time, we work hard to make sure the rest of our team can enjoy these special days with their own families.

Here are five ways to stay cool while giving your system a break:

✅ Close blinds and curtains during peak sun hours to block heat before it enters your home.
✅ Use ceiling fans counterclockwise to create a wind-chill effect that makes rooms feel cooler.
✅ Avoid using ovens or stoves during the hottest part of the day; opt for cold meals or outdoor grilling.
✅ Stay hydrated and wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing if you need to be outside.
