What an amazing life. This is the whole time it took to get the gland nut off.

Pulled the tire and blocked the cylinder up some for clearance, have it ready for gland nut removal.

Be sure to remove the set screw or you will ruin all the threads as you take it apart.

Getting this cylinder repacked will stop the machine from tilting on its own while being used.

After this is a lift cylinder that the gland nut is exactly the same diameter.

This is the machine I picked up back in June 2026.

Not running nor driving.

Ardco Traverse lift 10049, john Deere 4045T, Clark 18000 3sped transmission.

I have gotten it running fantasticly, brakes work, engine and tramission oil and filters have been changed.

All steering cylinders have been repacked.

Fuel lift pump replaced and fuel injection pump rebuilt.

New right front tire and tube.

Parking brake assembly rebuilt, new cable and rebuilt hand lever.

Still a few things on the list but this is an exciting moment as this is the first time really driving it.

Sounds great.

Made some progress on the pin spanner wrench.

My first time building one and over forged the handle section.

There is a leverage ratio I was hoping for but with the U being longer will need some adjustment to the swivel section.

Well, its been a busy week.

Replaced the leaky rear transmission output shaft seal and decided to tear into the front to check, clean and l**e the ebrake.

Turned out the ebrake rotor and the mount was pretty worn so drilled out the mount holes and inserted some newly machined press fit bushings.

The front seal was in good shape but 1 of the ebrake mounting bolt holes was missing 50% of the threads.

9/16×18tpi thread size. Rare today.

I also ground the brake disk to get it functional as ill be installing new pads.

I ordered some new bolts that are longer so should get good thread engagement.

These fixes and oil seal replacements will allow for me to refill the transmission after a quick cleaning of the transmission oil cooler and a new filter.

This will put the machine one step closer to completion.

My hands are not as steady as they used to be, my eyes dont see as good as they used to be.. ha..

So this came up and I snatched it up.

Could use some help finding replacement wheels.
