Today we were called out for a second opinion on a multi-zone heat pump system after another company told the homeowner she needed a new reversing valve — a major repair that would have cost her OVER $1,000.

After arriving and properly diagnosing the system, we found the issue had NOTHING to do with the reversing valve. One indoor unit was simply set to the wrong operating mode, causing a serial communication error between the heads.
