Custom pool house with log siding and a log door. If you’re going to use log siding you have to put the antler handle on. This antler had a little extra special meaning for the homeowners as well. What a fun project we had the pleasure of doing!

This winter, we had the pleasure of doing a complete kitchen renovation for a client. The client chose the perfect combination of Pioneer cabinets, Cambria countertops and Wolf sub zero appliances. They selected a stone accent wall that ties the space to the stonework we did on the fireplace. We created a custom maple mantle with flush mount outlets, and some floating shelves to enhance the room's functionality.

Aging can present challenges. This lovely lady desired a low-threshold shower system to avoid using the glass doors that were difficult to operate and the high tub edge. We installed a Wolf marble shower system, soap niche, and grab bars. I am impressed with this product and plan to install one in my own bathroom.

Take a look at this beautiful kitchen we have been hard at work over. It has taken a lot of work to get where we are.

The homeowner had originally hired another contractor, who lied about being licensed and was clearly out of his league and didn’t know what he was doing. I’m not here to bash anyone’s work, but I will say this. After getting in contact with the homeowner and my original inspection of the place, we put forth an order of operations and a scheduled timeline for those things, we had to redo lighting locations and drywall repairs, plumbing and gas line alterations, priming and painting. All these steps had to be done before we could begin building their dream kitchen.

We then saved the customer money on his cabinets, we got them the pioneer cabinets they wanted for almost 50% less than the other company was quoting them.

These clients felt lost, taken advantage of, and misguided through every step of these projects since buying the house. This was supposed to be their dream home and they were ready to just give up. But after sitting down with them and assuring them we could take the dream they had envisioned, and through methodically planning and the attention to detail we put into our work, we could make their dream a reality, and a bonus of saving them money along the way.

Being able to help these people accomplish their dreams and getting to do what I love is really what we are about at CJL Construction. And it doesn’t get much better than that.

Next steps are backsplash and stone accent backsplash over the sink, crown mouldings and trims, hardware installation, getting the appliance delivered and installed. And last but not least finishing the fireplace which will tie all this together. I’m really excited to see this done and the homeowners are very excited and pleased to see everything moving along smoothly and beautifully.

Look at this full kitchen transformation. We had a very limited space to work with to try and make this customers dream kitchen.

We extended the soffits to add both an upper cabinet and lower cabinet. Both of those cabinets allowed them to store most of their belongings instead of using their precious counter space.

She is a big baker and now she has a counter that can hold all the slow cookers and dishes for those seasonal holiday parties they like to host. We also added under cabinet lighting under each cabinet, a light over the sink and 3 more plugs so there won’t be any dark spots and she won’t have to unplug an appliance to use a different one.

A new double stainless steel sink and faucet to go with the new stainless steel range, microwave and refrigerator.

Top it all off with an updated paint job and backsplash. We turned a dream into a reality. They did an amazing job selecting colors and styles that blended really well with each other. I’m sad that we won’t be working here anymore, but onto our next one… spoiler alert you can fit about 5 of this kitchen into our next one, it looks something out of a catalog!
