We’d like to give a big shout-out to Anthony Rondon who was the recipient of a certificate and generous cash award for submitting an idea through our employee suggestion program. Anthony’s idea will reduce the risk of a work-related injury and utilize scrap material. That’s a win-win. He was recognized at our all-company meeting last week and is shown here with Alfredo Vargas, Shift Supervisor; Kyle Lane, Director of Manufacturing; and Ernie Portell, Manufacturing Manager. Congratulations Anthony!!

We were excited to welcome a group of students from Oswego High School to our plant as part of a GCamp event. Getting the opportunity to introduce them to the high-tech world of manufacturing and the variety of career opportunities manufacturing has to offer was also energizing for our team. Students learned about how plastics started, were able to see some of the products we mold, see resin in its raw state and see a CMM machine as well as robots at work. They heard success stories of Wise employees who were able to advance their careers and about our various entry-level positions and potential career paths. GCamp is a collation of manufacturers, educators, trade schools, workforce boards, and others who come together to solve the skills gap employment crisis that currently challenges all manufacturers.
