Details, details, and more details! Details and preparation are the first and two of the most important ingredients to a successful building project. Construction drawings that lack details get lowball and usually wildly different pricing from contractors because too many questions are left unanswered. Vague drawings that consist of little more than a floor plan, exteriors and the minimum required generic schematics typically result in lots of costly change orders when the project is already under construction. Lots of thought, not only from a design perspective, but most importantly from a building and constructability point of view goes into each one of our projects. Our SAND MOUNTAIN model was designed on the basis of the American Craftsman style for a client and was built in the hills of northern Alabama. Happy Manic Monday everyone! Kicking off this week with a hybrid from our portfolio of new home models that can be built on your lot. This one works really well on corner lots with the rear side-loading garage and has tons of space for outdoor living from the front porch, rear patio AND center courtyard for private gatherings. The BLYTHEWOOD model is based on Tudor style architecture, but dusted with American influences. Currently scheduling new projects to begin at the start of the new year.
