Beginning May 1, Krug Park will be closed nightly from 9pm-8am, each day. During these hours, the main park gates will be locked, and vehicle and pedestrian access to the park will not be permitted.

Also beginning May 1, and separate from the nightly closure, the upper gates near the castle may be closed during daytime hours as needed to accommodate ongoing construction and ensure public and crew safety. When the upper castle gate is locked, the gate exit will remain open so visitors can safely leave the area. When the upper gates are closed, access to the castle area will be restricted, but the rest of the park will remain open during normal daytime hours.

Please watch for posted signs and barricades and follow all directions from staff while construction progresses.

Excited for this one!

Work has begun on an exciting chapter for the beloved Krug Park. Crews are hard at work as residents will notice a sign at the entrance to the park showing where work will take place.

Traffic through the park will be restricted at times, and some areas will be closed during construction to keep crews and members of the public safe. During construction, some features, including the fountain and waterfall at the Krug Park lagoon, will not be in service.

The project will be done in multiple phases and include significant renovations to several areas of the park. Work on the Krug Bowl amphitheater will begin first, with the castle, children’s circus, picnic shelters and restrooms following. The project is set to be completed in the fall of 2027.

Funding for the renovation comes from the Parks Sales Tax approved by voters in 2021. Additional information about the project can be found at www.Krugparkproject.com.

Good luck this season, Parker Sheppard Racing!

Parker will be getting some practice laps in on Saturday at The Short Circuit at Electric City Speedway. It has been a long offseason, and we are really looking forward to seeing our race track friends!! I really don’t know what to expect, but we plan on having some fun!!!
