🏆 Introducing the 2026 Hornady Precision Rifle Challenge Trophy 🏆

We're proud to unveil the custom championship trophy we created for the 2026 Hornady Precision Rifle Challenge!

Built with the same rugged mindset that drives precision shooters, this trophy features bold gold and red accents, a precision rifle silhouette, and a unique design inspired by the iconic Hornady "H" logo. It's a trophy worthy of one of the most challenging and scenic precision rifle matches in the country.

The Hornady PRC returns June 26-27, 2026, on a legendary 250,000-acre private ranch in the Wasatch Mountains of northeastern Utah. As a PRS Qualifier, competitors will face 18-20 stages featuring long-range engagements, natural terrain shooting, positional challenges, and the ever-present wind that makes this venue famous.

This isn't just another match—it's a true field shooting experience set against some of the most beautiful terrain you'll ever shoot.

Big Dog Steel was proud to build the trophies for the Rough Creek Hunter’s Revenge NRL Hunter Match — a premier competition set against the rugged terrain and world-class facilities of Rough Creek Lodge in Texas. Designed to challenge shooters with demanding field-style stages and real-world hunting scenarios, this match continues to be one of the standout events in the NRL Hunter series.

The trophies feature a striking aoudad skull design with layered rugged tan and metallic rust finishes to match the harsh beauty of the terrain and spirit of the hunt. Built to look earned — not given.

K&M has built a reputation for hosting one of the most professional and efficient championship-style precision rifle matches in the nation. Competitors can expect a high-tempo format with minimal downtime between stages, pushing shooters to stay focused, adaptable, and efficient from start to finish. The course of fire is designed to test and train skills pulled from law enforcement, military, and practical marksman disciplines — and there’s simply no other facility in the country capable of supporting a match experience quite like K&M.

For this year’s trophies, we kept the design classic and bold, featuring the iconic Kahles orange and white color scheme throughout the build. Clean lines, precision-cut steel, and a timeless championship look worthy of one of the premier precision rifle events in the country.

We’re proud and honored to play a small part in the International Sniper Competition happening right now at Fort Benning, GA 🇺🇸

The trophies we were asked to create turned out fantastic, and we hope the competitors can see—and appreciate—the craftsmanship and effort that went into every piece.

The red, black, and white color scheme pairs perfectly with the Army Sniper Association logo, making these awards as bold and sharp as the competition itself.

Don't worry.
We aren't quitting, we're UPGRADING!
Now all of our targets will be made from SR500 Steel. It has a better chemical compostion and will allow us to create targets that resist damage better, last longer, and save you money.
