Penn Pallet was founded in 1976 by Dan, John, and Paul Cunningham. Penn Pallet started out focusing on building pallets for the local community. Today, the company is still owned and operated by the Cunningham family, shipping across the continental USA and Canada. We put the same amount of care into our products as you put into yours, Lay Your Pride On Us. We believe in recycling and show this by

recycling 100% of our wood waste, which is used for heating, landscaping mulch, pressed wood and pet bedding. Nails and other scrap materials are recycled, as well, reducing the amount of waste that goes back into our landfills. Penn Pallet is proud of its reputation. We strive to build lasting relationships with our customers, our suppliers, and our community. Through quality and service, we strive to meet and exceed our customers' expectations. With 38 years of experience, we manufacture and supply several types of wood shipping platforms, including pallets, crates/boxes, top frames, stringers, bolsters, and cradles. Penn Pallet offers heat treating and borate treating services, pallet recycling, and generates wooden fiber for fuel and other useful products from wood waste. Penn Pallet has been a leader in wood pallets and pallet management in the Northeast for over 37 years. The company began its pallet recycler program in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania. Our Woodland facility is currently looking for someone on 3rd shift.

Penn Pallet is currently hiring for a 3rd employee. Offering a great starting rate $18.00 / hour with weekly production incentive. You control the incentive pay as it is based on your performance. Get paid weekly and enjoy our many other benefits of paid holidays, earned vacation and individual / family insurance benefits.

This employee would have the following responsibilities / job duties:
- Pallet repair consists of recycling pallets that come into the facility, removing old material from a pallet and replacing that with new, useable material to ensure the pallet is a useable, saleable product.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to follow guidelines set by manager
Ability to lift, twist and bend for duration of shift
Ability to utilize tools such as pneumatic nailer, hammer, crowbar, saws
Ability to access visual the repairs needed on a pallet
Willing to work in varied temperatures
Ability to work at a pace that is productive
Education & Experience

Experience in wood industry helpful but not needed. Willingness to learn position

Job duties:

- Assembly - machine operations in the assembly of pallets. Will be placing stringers into the machine, manually placing the top and bottom boards, ensuring the machine is nailing the boards in place.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to lift, twist and bend for duration of shift
Ability to utilize tools such as various saw, machine operations
Visually inspecting wood for defects prior to placing them in the machine
Willing to work in varied temperatures
Ability to work at a pace that is productive
Ability to follow verbal instructions given by manager
Education & Experience

Experience in wood industry helpful but not needed. Willingness to learn position.
