These floating wetlands in Kansas provide habitat for turtles, frogs, ducks, macroinvertebrates, and pollinators. Beneficial microbes colonize on the roots that hang up to 2 feet below the islands.

Norovirus is that icky illness we often call the stomach flu (it is not actually the flu). Symptoms include sudden, severe vomiting, watery diarrhea, and stomach cramps.
