All of us at AGC are so sad to learn of the passing of Larry McGough. Larry was the recipient of AGC's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, due in part to the prominent role he held as a pioneer of implementing the collaborative, negotiated project delivery system. Today, collaborative delivery is one of the most prevalent approaches in the nation, thanks in part to Larry's dedication. Larry was also a Life Director of Associated General Contractors of America, and past chair of several AGC national committees.
AGC extends our sympathies to Larry's family, and the entire McGough team
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Larry McGough, one of the six McGough brothers who helped found our company.
Since joining his father and his brothers in building the family business in 1956, Larry remained deeply connected to the values that continue to guide us today. His influence can be seen in the projects he helped build, the people he mentored and the culture he helped create. Even long after retirement, Larry remained a familiar and welcome presence at McGough, taking pride in the company’s work and joy in the people carrying it forward.
On behalf of everyone at McGough, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the McGough family and all who knew and loved Larry. His legacy will remain part of McGough for generations to come.
