Virginia Mountain Section of IEEE The local section of of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. We usually meet the third Thurs @ 6:30 @ Salem Civic Center, Salem, VA

We are the local section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. The Virginia Mountain Section covers most of the Roanoke Valley from the Lexington area through the western end of Virginia. We usually meet the third Thursday of each month @ 6:30 @ Holiday Inn - Valley View in Roanoke, taking a 3 month hiatus over the summer. Meetings that include a technical lecturer are eligible

for 1 PDH for professional development and re-certification. You do not have to be an IEEE member to attend. Our area includes several student chapters including Virginia Tech, Virginia Military Institute, and Virginia Western Community college. We also support local STEM related groups at area Middle and High schools. Come join us at the next meeting (dinner included) and see how the local chapter works.
