Throwback Thursday! We've all heard about 3Dirigo, the largest 3D-printed boat unveiled by the University of Maine in Oct. 2019. But did you know that one of Autotiv's very own digital manufacturing engineers played a role in its origin story? Bradley Guerrette (middle below) was part of a 3-man capstone team tasked with modifying a 3D printer to produce parts of infinite length, which acted as a prototype for the 3D printer (currently the world's largest) that produced 3Dirigo! https://sites.google.com/maine.edu/3dprintingcapstone/home
