Usually, an interior wall where air circulates naturally is best. Keep it away from direct sunlight, drafts, windows and nearby heat sources that can affect its temperature reading.

Carbon monoxide has no color or smell, so a working alarm is essential.

Before heating season:
✅ Test your CO alarms monthly
✅ Keep an alarm on every level and outside sleeping areas
✅ Have fuel-burning heating equipment, flues and vents checked annually
