Big ideas need boots on the ground - and Clint Haynes wears them all.

As Managing Partner at True North 3DP, Clint is bringing 3D-printed homes to life at Cleora, tackling every challenge from vision to reality. From innovator to problem-solver to on-site leader, he’s shaping the future of homebuilding in Chaffee County.

💡We’re also sharing a few of Clint’s current faves: the trails he can’t get enough of, a spot to grab a bite after a long ride, and the song that feels like home right now.

We hope you’ll join us next week, January 22nd, for an evening of conversation, connection, and forward-thinking ideas. True North 3DP is proud to be part of the 2026 Ascent Launch Event, presented by the Chaffee County EDC. The evening will celebrate Innovation in Motion and welcome the next cohort of entrepreneurs shaping what’s possible in rural Colorado. As builders, innovators, and long-term partners in this community, we believe deeply in collaboration, thoughtful problem-solving, and local momentum.

Our co-founder Greg Kenny, pictured here sharing updates at November’s Cleora Town Hall event, will be featured in an inspiring Startup Story panel alongside fellow founders and community leaders actively building what’s next for Chaffee County. The conversation will be moderated by Frannie Mathews of PBS12.

Everyday we’re hustling.

Winter’s settling in here in the mountains, but that doesn’t slow us down. While we continue building out infrastructure at Cleora, we’ve also been busy assembling a new manufacturing tent. This climate-controlled space will allow us to keep refining our print process year-round, supporting Cleora and other exciting community projects we can't wait to share.

From 3D-printed homes in Cleora to performance-driven, climate-smart construction methods, every True North project is part of something bigger: a future where innovation, local jobs, and resilient design go hand in hand.

As we head into the New Year, we’re excited about the partnerships helping create real pathways for local youth and workforce development - especially our work alongside Colorado Mountain College in Salida and the Masons Union, connecting hands-on learning with emerging construction technologies like 3D printing.

We’re grateful to be invited to present at Colorado Mountain College in Salida on January 8 at 2:30 PM, where we’ll be speaking with students about internship opportunities and how new building methods can open doors to skilled trades, meaningful careers, and long-term opportunity right here at home.

Here’s to learning by doing, working smarter, and investing in the next generation.

Today we’re kicking off an inspiring new series: Humans of True North, a closer look at the people bringing Cleora at Salida East to life.

To begin, we sat down with someone who knows this valley inside and out: Jeff Post. As a fifth generation Salidan, Jeff brings a unique understanding of this place and the history woven into it. His perspective adds meaningful context to how Cleora came to be and how True North, its master developers, are approaching the work ahead.

When team meetings, mountains, and robots collide. ✨

to the day RIC Robotics rolled onto the Cleora site - a milestone that reminded us exactly why we partnered with them.

With three generations of architectural expertise, RIC brings a collaborative approach to early-stage robotic integration. Their technology strengthens the workforce, boosts efficiency, ensures precision, and supports climate-resilient building practices - the kind of innovation that moves True North projects, like Cleora, forward with intention and integrity. 🧭

We have a lot of exciting work ahead - and a fresh newsletter to share it.

Subscribe to Behind The Build for inside access to True North 3DP: Cleora progress, next-gen 3D-printing updates, climate-resilient building insights, workforce and Academy initiatives, and stories from the local people shaping what construction can look like in rural communities like ours.

From delivery day to today, it’s meaningful to look back at where this work began - and the big and small steps that have brought us forward. True North 3DP was officially established in 2023, but this vision has been five years in the making, shaped by countless hours of planning, testing, and belief in what’s possible.

When our RIC Robotics system first arrived, it marked the start of a new chapter for us. And from minute one, Donnie Kaess - owner of Y & K Excavation and co-founder of True North - was right there driving change. A fifth-generation local whose team is literally laying the foundation this entire Cleora project stands on.

Here’s to progress, to the hardworking local humans behind it, and to the future we’re building one print at a time. 🎉
