I know the screw holes look off but that is from angle I was in. I countersunk every screw and then plugged it with mahogany so when it is finished being sanded off I think the contrast will be nice. And last time I used rebar I used washers to set it into the post but this time I shaped a 1/4" piece of steel and then routered a inlay. I love when a customer allows me to be as creative as I want.

Had a deck fall through so there are openings in my schedule. Deck season is upon us

I have been working on this new project and I am a little excited about it. Balusters are necessary with a deck, but they also can add quite a bit of appeal to them. I try to learn as many ways as possible just to have options. I am only showing this picture because I am not done. The black wrap is something I wasn't planning but it seemed like a good touch. I will post more pictures tomorrow when it will be finished
