That burning smell you notice is usually just dust burning off the heating components after sitting unused all summer. It’s completely normal and should go away shortly!

Ever notice a musty, dirty sock smell coming from your HVAC system? You’re not alone!

🍂🌸 It’s especially common during fall and spring!

During these milder months, your AC doesn’t run as long or as often, allowing moisture to sit on the evaporator coil for longer periods. This creates the perfect environment for bacteria and microbial growth, causing that unpleasant odor.

🌡️ Many homeowners notice it when switching between heating and cooling.

The good news? It doesn’t necessarily mean your system is failing! Regular maintenance and proper coil cleaning can help!

In 1902, Willis Carrier designed the first modern air conditioning system to control humidity in a printing plant. Moisture was causing the paper to expand and contract, affecting print quality.

What started as a solution to a printing problem eventually changed how we live and work today! ❄️
