The agency reported a quake at 10:23 a.m. with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8, centered near Lebanon, New Jersey, or about 45 miles west of New York City and 50 miles north of Philadelphia. U.S.G.S. figures indicated that the quake might have been felt by more than 42 million people.

Water can cause many problems for your roof, not just leaks. Most of us do not realize how heavy the element is. For example, consider a 5,000 square foot roof that is covered in just one inch of water. The water weighs 5.2 pounds per inch per square foot, which means just one inch of water on a 5,000 square foot roof would way an incredible 26,000 pounds! Buildings are not engineered to tolerate this extra weight.
