Continuing our celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we’re excited to recognize Warren Hales Jr. from our Altaview Concrete division in Salt Lake City, Utah as a Bulker Driver!

Warren has been with us for nearly 20 years working out of the West Jordan batch plant. He has recently taken on the role of north mentor for our Pneumatic division, where he trains and does ride-alongs to ensure safety awareness and help address potential hazards. Warren’s dedication to mentoring and keeping our team safe is truly commendable.

When he’s not on the road, Warren enjoys fishing and hunting. Thank you, Warren, for your leadership and commitment to our team!

Julian joined us in November of 2023 and has quickly become a vital part of our ready-mix team. His teammates say he is known for his punctuality, integrity, and commitment to safety - always prepared with his PPE and ready to work. He’s built strong relationships with our customers and is the first to step up and support his fellow drivers, ensuring everyone’s success.

We are proud to announce that we were recently awarded the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association 2023 Safety Award in Nashville, TN. This prestigious award was earned by all of our hard working team members. This award is a perfect representation of how safety is our number one value.

Across 4,816,076 miles driven, our company as a whole has reduced it's incident rate from 1.49 (2020), to 0.29 (2022) in just 2 years. We have had ZERO lost time incidents in the last 4 years, and have reduced highway accidents by 42% in the last 2 years. We are currently on track to be down 80% from the last two years.

This award recognizes our devotion, dedication, and long-time commitment to safety and health in the ready mixed concrete industry.
