Big news for UAMPS and our members!

UAMPS has entered into a prepay agreement with Main Street Energy, a strategic step to help secure long-term energy resources and reduce costs for participating members. This partnership reflects our continued commitment to delivering diverse and competitive energy solutions to the communities we serve.

On June 23, the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems entered into a prepay agreement with a Georgia-based nonprofit, Main Street Energy, with extensive experience providing discounted energy supplies to municipalities from prepayment transactions.

It was an honor to speak at the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) Energy Superabundance Workshop. With Utah's own Governor Cox serving as the 2026 WGA Chair, we extend our gratitude to him and the Utah Office of Energy Development (OED) for their invitation. UAMPS remains committed to advancing new generation resources to support our members' energy needs.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in St. George for this year’s UAMPS Municipal Toolkit Workshop. We were thrilled to have such a strong turnout from our members and locally elected officials.

We appreciated the opportunity to connect, learn, and hear valuable insights from our speakers, including UAMPS staff, Truckee Donner Public Utility District, Idaho National Laboratory, and Utah Office of Energy Development.
