A major thunderstorm with strong wind gusts and lightning moved into west Texas Sunday evening. The storm continues to pour heavy rain over the Big Country area. At 8:30 p.m. Sunday, approximately 19,800 customers are out of power. Crews are working diligently to restore power safely and as quickly as possible.

Please remember to stay away from downed power lines. Please consider any downed power line energized and dangerous. Please follow us for more updates. Crews will continue working until all customers are restored.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to restore electric service.
