I build cabinets for a living, and now you can buy them straight from my shop, ready for your paint.

My Ready to Paint Cabinets are base, sink base and wall cabinets I build here in my shop and deliver fully assembled and sanded smooth. You pick the color, the brand and the sheen.

🔹 3/4" 13-ply Baltic birch plywood boxes
🔹 Poplar hardwood face frames and door frames
🔹 Soft-close concealed hinges
🔹 Normally built and delivered in about 15 business days

Two styles, Flat Panel Shaker and Raised Panel Shaker, starting at $399 for a flat panel base and $279 for a wall cabinet. They cost less than full custom and they're built stronger than RTA.

New: 3-drawer slab drawer banks with poplar slab fronts, 12" to 33" wide, $549 to $849. They come with standard side-mount drawer slides, or you can upgrade to soft-close for +$39 or +$249. Coming soon: a 4-drawer slab bank and a 36" 3-drawer.

Pick up free at my shop in Ballinger, TX, or I'll deliver: $189 within 50 miles or $279 within 100 miles. These aren't shipped.

Thinking about refacing your kitchen? The new doors and drawer fronts get all the attention, but your cabinet boxes and face frames stay, and they need to look good too.

I wrote up a step-by-step prep guide for homeowners who want to handle that part themselves: checking that the boxes are sound, cleaning off the grease, filling dings and old holes, scuff-sanding, bonding primer, and painting the face frames and end panels.

One tip before you pick up a brush: ask me during your estimate whether your boxes need refinishing or veneer. Every kitchen is different.

Same kitchen in Sweetwater, before and after.

The cabinet boxes in this kitchen were solid, so there was no reason to tear them out. I built new white shaker doors and drawer fronts, covered the frames to match, and finished it off with brass pulls. Same layout, completely different kitchen.

That's what refacing does. No demo, no weeks without a kitchen.

Been a rough 8 days with my shop AC out. 3 hours today and I think I got out just in time to avoid heat stroke. AC tomorrow!
