Some projects are more than just heating and cooling—they're about preserving family history while making a home work for the next generation.

This customer inherited a beautiful vintage home that had been passed down through their family for generations. The downstairs was being cooled with mini-splits, but the upstairs had zero air conditioning or heating, making it difficult to use the space year-round.

Their vision? Turn the upstairs into comfortable Airbnb guest rooms.

The challenge? There was no existing HVAC infrastructure upstairs.

🔨 Here's what it took:

✅ Converted an overhead storage closet into an attic access and equipment location for the air handler

✅ Ran over 40 feet of refrigerant piping and electrical wiring from the outdoor condenser to the new air handler

✅ Removed and reinstalled multiple metal roof panels to create a pathway for the line set and electrical

✅ Installed the air handler in a tight attic space

✅ Designed and installed 5 new duct runs to deliver balanced airflow throughout the upstairs rooms

The result? A once-unused upstairs space is now ready to provide comfortable cooling and heating for guests year-round.
