METRO was organized in 1986 in San Antonio Texas and has successfully completed more than 8,000 projects, with a total value exceeding One and a Half Billion Dollars. We employ more than 80 people between our Austin and San Antonio offices. Our expertise is constructing healthcare facilities, office buildings, religious structures, restaurants, and industrial projects. We build projects from the g

round up, finish out existing spaces, and have renovated some of Texas’ most beautiful historic buildings. Our peers have recognized our work with over two dozen Excellence in Construction and safety awards, including two coveted Eagle Awards, the highest award given in Associated Builders and Contractors’ national competition. Some projects leave a lasting impression in more ways than one.

At Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs, this custom wood door carries a story with it. It was crafted from a tree that once stood on the property and had to be removed during construction. Now, it has a new purpose as a beautiful feature within this retirement and aged care community.

What was once part of the land is now part of the building, bringing warmth, character and meaning to a space designed for comfort and connection.

District 1 Councilwoman Dr. Sukh Kaur joined METRO for the ABC Jobsite Tour Initiative at the Culinary Institute of America campus in the Pearl.

METRO is remodeling office space on the 2nd and 4th floors into new classrooms featuring modern Skyfold partitions, and teaching kitchens that will support the next generation of culinary professionals in San Antonio.

The tour highlighted our culture of safety, integrity, and collaboration, while emphasizing community partnerships that grow the future of downtown San Antonio.
