My first Texas bathroom remodel.

This is before and after waterproofing.
The 1st photo is what happens when you tile over drywall. ( NEVER LET SOMEONE TALK YOU INTO THIS. GROUT LINES ARE NOT WATERPROOF AND NEITHER IS DRYWALL.)
The 2nd photo is high density foam board and is 100% waterproof. It also works as a thermal break so moisture doesn't build up in the space between walls.

I would like to say, in my search of a job here in San Antonio. I have met with several businesses in construction and I want to say just how blessed I was with Steve Whitehurst as a boss. He has integrity, compassion and is honest. If you are lucky enough to work for him you are blessed and if you hire him to do work in your home, then you have hired one of the best Contractors you can find. Honesty and integrity are not as common as you may think.
Thank you Steve for showing me that these qualities do still exist
