Following the NSH - National Society for Histotechnology Convention, we welcomed Anatomic Insights' Julie Trejo to CorePath HQ. Our histology team exchanged ideas, discussed workflow processes and brainstormed solutions to everyday lab pain points, leveraging her 25+ years of experience in the field of histology. Dr. Bridget Herschap, Pathologist and Medical Director of Business Affairs, also took a moment to share the slide art in her office and discuss the value of histology as the foundational work for pathologists everywhere.

The field of histology, much like pathology, is currently facing a critical operational shortage, with staff vacancy rates exceeding 20% and supervisory vacancies topping 14%, according to recent American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) data.

Because of this, Julie has embarked on a mission to bring more awareness to the histology profession through the power of social media. Julie is in the process of building and raising funds for the Histology Innovation & Education Lab in St. Louis, MO, with the goal of creating a place where bench knowledge can be preserved and shared, hands-on histology skills can be taught, and new ideas and technologies can be tested.

We’re proud to connect with passionate lab leaders like Julie who are finding ways to address the workforce shortage through education, awareness, and a shared commitment to the future of histology.

This past weekend, CorePath joined over 1,000 healthcare leaders, researchers, pathologists, and industry pioneers at Pathology Visions in San Diego, California. This event, hosted by the Digital Pathology Association, focused on digital pathology, practical AI integration, whole-slide imaging (WSI), regulatory considerations, and pathology workflow efficiency.

We’re leaving this year’s event inspired by the connections made, conversations shared, and exciting opportunities ahead!

2.) On the homepage, click on the blue Client Solutions button at the top.
3.) Once on the Client Solutions page, click on the blue Order Supplies button to open the form and start a request.

Please note that all supply order requests are processed by our Client Solutions Team within 24 business hours and that the cut-off time for next-day orders is 10:00 am CST. Clients may also continue to order supplies the traditional way, if preferred.
