The UK has become the first country to authorize Moderna's booster targeting the sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 and the original . The new shots will help the UK fight against effectively as it continues to evolve.
In the US, the Biden administration has been crafting a booster campaign for launch in September with an updated vaccine designed to provide more robust protection against the sub-variants.
