SouthWest Overhead Storage does not sell any products, we are an installation service contracting with SafeRacks to install products purchased through them. We perform the installation labor on products you purchase online as well, specializing in Garage Overhead Storage Racks.
Those products are used to store bulky items that are not frequently used, especially
* Holiday Decorations
* Luggage
* Sports and Camping paraphernalia
* Memorabilia Items
* Off-Season Clothing
* Leftover Building Materials
Most folks have these items squirrelled away in over-filled closets and stacked on the floor of the garage, frequently you see garages crowded with boxes of these and other precious valuables while the family cars endure the elements outside.
Overhead storage shelves gained popularity in the early 2000's, when new homes began using high 9 and 10-foot ceilings. That affords a good deal of storage overhead, without impeding on vehicle or foot traffic beneath.
Most manufacturers of Overhead Racks do not offer a network of installers, leaving it to you to figure out layout, determine if obstacles prevent it from being installed, or if the Rack itself will be an obstacle to other components of the garage, then to find framing and secure the product to framing in such a way as it will be safe and reliable long-term. First-time owners who attempt all this on their own, or with the help of friends or family, usually describe it as a day-long struggle.
It doesn't take our experience of over 15 years and thousands of satisfied customers to make that whole process seamless and efficient, but it sure doesn't hurt. Why waste your valuable time working high up on a ladder, hoping that you get a good looking result that's been installed the best it can be?
Generally, there is no need for an estimate call on these products. On delivery, the product is only available in White, we try to travel with all of the parts necessary to make any of SafeRacks 8 sizes of shelves, and the pricing is clearly published on the SafeRacks website, so you'll know what to expect. We can schedule your installation appointment if you're sure enough that we'd like to proceed.
For new customers, we generally schedule a 2-hour call. That allows us time to show product, describe what can be done in your target zones, or even determine what zones would work best for you. You will not be pressured, we don't want to SELL you, we want to provide what you'd like to buy. Rarely do we fail to create a very satisfied customer using that formula. More often, the customer's enthusiasm grows as the job progresses, and we add more storage to the order or schedule a "second phase" to add to our original plan! And why not? can you have too much organization? too much cleanliness?
