We had such a great start to the week with so many wonderful classes. Swipe to see what our Robot Rookies built today →

Today’s mission:
🧹 Build a Sweeper Robot

Students designed and assembled their own robot that can clear objects from its path using simple mechanical systems.

But the real magic was watching them:

⚙️ Test their designs
⚙️ Adjust their mechanisms
⚙️ Solve problems together
⚙️ Improve their robots through experimentation

The focus and creativity in the room today was incredible.

This is what real STEM learning looks like —
kids building, testing, failing, improving, and trying again.

And parents…

If you’ve been trying to get your kid to clean their room with no luck…

Congratulations to our Magikid San Diego Award Winning Robotics Teams!

During the Los Angeles competition, Team C from Magikid San Diego Lab performed exceptionally well, securing the “Team Championship” and the highest honor of the event, the Overall Excellence Award. They will be advancing to the state-level competition.

Competing is not just about winning awards, but also about the continued improvement and growth of our students’ overall abilities. Our teams have made genuine and significant progress in areas such as engineering thinking, hands-on practice, programming logic, and team communication.

We are genuinely proud of every student and coach who has worked hard, and we applaud their growth along the way. We look forward to seeing them continue to push beyond their limits and strive to reach new heights in the challenges ahead.

Our VEX IQ competition students are taking on a powerful new skill this season, public speaking! Confidence when speaking for the interview portion of the competition is just as important as performance on the field. We’re thrilled to have a professional public speaking coach leading monthly training for our teams.

During the session, we developed skills on:

✅ Present their robot clearly and logically
✅ Speak with confidence, posture, and poise
✅ Share roles smoothly as a team
✅ Answer judges’ questions under pressure

We don’t just build robots, we build leaders 💪✨
